You will notice in our posts that we cook and eat eggs on a pretty regular basis. The one great thing about eggs is they are a standard item available in most countries. There are so many ways you can order eggs or cook them yourselves.
Potatoes are also a pretty standard safe food item as well. The great thing about this type of meal is that is also seems to taste good in the morning, at noon or night!
Basting your eggs is easy and cooks the top of the egg without flipping. You don’t need to use a lot of oil or butter. If you use a non-stick pan you don’t have to add anything to the pan to ensure the perfect egg. You can do them soft, medium or hard…and please all the people waiting around your breakfast table.
Poaching is another option and we find that if you put about a teaspoon of vinegar into the boiling water before you add the egg, it helps hold it together.
One thing we really love is tomato, avocado and some sort of salad greens to go along with our eggs. Yes, for some it may seem strange to have salad in the morning but it will give you more enzymes to digest your food in the day plus it is delicious and once you get in the habit it becomes a pretty normal thing to eat first thing.
