Growing up this jello cake has been a classic in our family. It is easy to make and is always so festive on the table. The kids (and adults love it) and it lasts well in the fridge for a couple of days afterwards. Thank you my cousin and Aunty for making
- 7 cups boiling water
- 1 can (300ml) condensed milk
- 5 packages Jello, choose any colors you like
- 7 envelopes gelatin (each envelope is 1 Tablespoon)
Mix 1 cup boiling water with condensed milk.
Mix 2 envelopes gelatin with 1 cup boiling water. Combine them all together. Divide this into 4 equal portions and set aside.
Jello and Assembly
Mix 1 package Jello and 1 package gelatin with 1 cup boiling water.
Pour this first layer of prepared Jello into an 8×10 inch glass baking dish. Cool in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or until set.
Pour one portion of the milk mixture gently onto the set Jello, and then cool in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Repeat these steps alternating jello and milk mixture for all 5 colors, letting each layer set in the refrigerator as you go.
Keep the Jello Cake in the refrigerator.
You can either cut into squares or you can us shaped cookie cutters to cut your pieces.
